The Goethe-Institut in Jakarta was founded in 1961 and since the establishment of the Amadeus Foundation in 1993, the foundation has been in close relationship with it.
Goethe-Institut is a non-profit organization promoting German language and culture world-wide. The Goethe-Institut in Jakarta was founded in 1961 and since the establishment of the Amadeus Foundation in 1993, the foundation has been in close relationship with it. The relationship grew closer between 2011-2014 when Goethe-Institut assisted the foundation in opening its wind department by providing wind instruments and wind teachers from Germany, beginning with Christian Syperek (Trumpet) and Benjamin Fischer (Oboe).
